Throughout The Day Meetings with Legislators at the Capitol
- Suggested attire: Business casual
- Please use this time to meet with legislators and staff. These meetings should be scheduled in advance. If you have local legislators that you have not scheduled meetings with, visit their offices to introduce yourself and see if there is someone available to briefly speak with you about TTA’s priorities.
- Remember to be courteous and polite. You may only get 5 minutes to convey your message, so please use your time wisely!
- Don’t forget to refer to the TTA Handout titled “2023 Legislative Agenda” and discuss the items contained therein.
- Please ask for business cards from Legislative offices to get the names and contact information for members of legislators’ staff. Office staff can be very helpful and a valuable resource both during session and during the interim period.
- Make sure to drop off a copy of the double-sided postcard invitation for the Ice Cream Social in the afternoon and the Legislative Reception.
