Description: “Nip it! Nip it! Nip it!” famous words of Deputy Barney Fife. To “Nip it in the Bud” means to fix a small problem, usually to prevent a larger problem from happening. That is certainly true, especially in public transportation. Fact: Just one negative interaction has five times the impact of a positive interaction. That means just one person exhibiting unacceptable employee behavior – could be destroying morale, crushing productivity, and making your job five times harder! This workshop will provide you with effective strategies for addressing problematic behavior so that you and your organization can be successful.
Through the use of problem-solving discussion, practical tips and relevant techniques, this 1.5 day workshop for HR, Operations, Maintenance directors, managers and supervisors will explore the following topics.
- Recognizing common problematic people, traits, and behaviors
- The cost of the problematic employee
- The danger of problematic transit customers
- Stopping the problem behavior in its tracks
- Effective confrontation without hostility and creative feedback techniques
- Catching people doing right
