Description: This session covers hot topics regarding implementing ADA requirements for public transit operations and can be customized to address large urban fixed-route systems, small urban and rural public transit, and small, rural demand response systems. The sponsoring agency can direct the content by recommending specific topics they would like covered or Easterseals can select from our most frequently asked questions. Topics could include: boarding and securing passengers who use wheelchairs; service animals; reasonable modification; effective communication with people with specific disabilities; stop announcements; priority seating; PCAs and companions; ADA paratransit visitor policies; and much more.
